<p>The insulating shaped-section unit is for laying into the mororing of glass building blocks, so as to encompass them, providing insulation against temperature variations, and simplifying construction by providing masonry support until the mortar dries, and with the even thickness of the insulation making it easier for the craftsman to provide an even joint. Here the mortaring of the glass block is interrupted by the insulating shaped-section unit. The units are made of temperature-insulating material, with pressure-resistant qualities adequate to accommodate the weight of piled glass blocks until the mortar has dried out. They can be in the form of a frame, encompassing the glass block concerned on two or three sides.</p> |
