<p>The single column press is used for fastening relatively light gauge materials, such as locks to briefcases, buckle to belts etc. The press consists of main column (1) made of flat steel or square tube welded onto pedestal (2) made of angel or U-sections. The main column (1) carries arm (5) in which the hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder (4) is fitted and covered by casing (3). Underneath the arm (5) counter arm (6) is fitted at a distance. Both arms are fitted with tool holders (7, 8) and by means of clamping assemblies (9, 10) slidingly adjustable in height and cantilever distance.</p> |
