1507029 Scaffolding KWIKFORM Ltd 14 July 1975 [19 July 1974] 32013/74 Heading E1S In scaffolding of the type wherein the uprights have groups of sockets at intervals along their length, and the cross members (transoms and ledgers) have socket-engaging connectors at their ends, a special cross member 15a is provided at one end with a pivotally-mounted socket-engaging connector 18b and with a socket 11, whereby the cross member 15a may be mounted by the pivoted connector 18b on an upright 10a at any desired angle to an adjacent cross member 15, with a further cross member 16 connected to the socket 11. A bracket 20 carrying the pivoted connector 18b and socket 11 may be fixed directly to the cross member 15a, or may carry a further socket for releasable connection thereto. Uprights 10b, 10c supporting the other ends of adjacent cross members 15, 15a are connected by a telescopic cross member 16a having pivoted connectors at its ends. |
