<p>A temp. compensating assembly used in the preparation of moulding material, partic. foundry sand, comprises a mixer, a device for withdrawing samples from the mixer and a separator having a vibrator and a number of canals and ports which are adjoined by photoelectric cells, the cells enabling the supply of additives to the mixer as a function of the aptitude of the material for moulding to be regulated. At least one resistance thermometer with a short response time is disposed before or after the mixer and is connected functionally via an intermediate control device and an amplifier to vibration drive means so as to vary the intensity of vibration as a function of the temp. of the material. The system enables the aptitude of the material to moulding to be maintained constant while its temp. may vary.</p> |
