<p>A clamp for gripping cables or other profiles having a non-circular cross-section involves use of semi-rigid flaps which converge as the shifting of a bevelled collar on the clamp depresses knuckles integrated with each flap. Esp. used, for gripping profiles passing through a hole, e.g. flat cables entering a junction box. Opt. the clamp components are made at least in part of aluminium or a plastics material, pref. polypropylene to take advantage of integral hinges.</p> |
