<p>Apparatus for navigating by micromaps, where the micromap is received in a holder (39) which is movable relative to a stationary main projector (15) with associated lens (27), minors (44, 45) and focusing screen (12). The map holder can be moved separately in the X and Y direction by means of two co-operating, transparent carriage plates (31, 35). A marking projector can be adjusted in a particular position in order to indicate on the instruction screen (12) the position and course of the ship, while the map holder (39) and thereby a section of micromap which is to be directed on the focusing screen can be moved on the focusing screen in order to simulate relative movement between sea and ship. In a first embodiment (Figure 1, 2) the adjustment of the marking projector (17, 19) and the displacement of the map holder (39) can occur by manual operation, while in a second embodiment (Figure 3, 4) the adjustment of the marking projector (50) can occur by means of control pulses from the ship"s compass, while the movement of the map holder can occur by means of control pulses from the ship"s log and compass via a computer machine. </p> |
