PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material having excellent heat resistance and excellent wear resistance by laminating the first heat-sensitive layer composed of an acid developer, the second heat-sensitive layer composed of a leuco dye, and a protective layer to be hardened by irradiation of an ionizing radiation on a base material. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion of an acid developer (e.g., bisphenol, etc.) in a solid vehicle (e.g., vinyl toluene-butadiene copolymer, etc.) is coated on a base material 1 (e.g., of plastic film, etc.), and then a paint formed by dispersing a leuco dye (e.g., Crystal violet lactone, etc.) in the same solid vihicle is coated on the acid developer layer. They are dried to form the first and second heat-sensitive layers 2 and 3. Then, a composition containing an ionzing radiation-curable vehicle (e.g., polyester acrylate, etc.) is coated on said layers 2 and 3 and made into a protective layer 4 by irradiation of an ionizing radiation. Thus, an objective recording material is obtained. |
