PURPOSE:To obtain a lens excellent in optical performance, by a method wherein the compressure pressure burdened on the lens is adjusted according to the change of mold temperature and the specific volume of lens is made to be slowly changed in the heat compression molding of plastic lens. CONSTITUTION:The descending condition of mold temperature is continuously observed through a temperature sensor 17 and a temprature transducer 18 by a controller 23 in cooling process by the heat compression molding of plastic lens wherein a lens blank is thrown into the cavity of mold and molded to the plastic lens through heat process and compression process, and the said lens is cooled in the condition where it is burdened with compression pressure in cooling process. Then, the change of compression pressure burdened on the lens is observed through a pressure sensor 19 and a pressure transducer 20, and the compression pressure is adjusted so that it is by stages changed according to the change of mold temperature. |
