PURPOSE:To attain the automatic switching of an electronic computer system, by substituting a predetermined constituting pattern for an off-line system when a monitor detects a failure on the on-line system, and restarting the on-line processing. CONSTITUTION:When a failure monitor section 5 detects a failure of a main body device 1-1 via a signal line 21, it is reported to a control section 10. When the main device 1-2 is permitted for switching, the interruption of processing is indicated to the device 1-2 via an interruption generating section 6. Further, the control section 10 gives a predetermined constituting pattern in which the connected devices 1-1, 1-2 are replaced with each other viewed from peripheral devices 2-1-2-n to a connection switching indicating section 9. The indicating section 9 transmits a connection switching signal to the devices 2-1-2-n via a signal line 25 for indicating the switching. Further, the control section 10 indicates the initial program load and the on-line processing restart to the device 1-2 via the program load section 7. |
