PURPOSE:To improve remarkably a carrying speed level, by reading the accuracy of carrying speed of a medium carrying mechanism of a reading section with a test image medium and correcting the carrying speed. CONSTITUTION:The reading section 7 is provided with a pulse set circuit 16 controlling the carrying speed, and a data processing section 13 is provided with a measuring section 17 measuring the length of image data. When the data is produced, the test image medium is set to a reading section 7 and the circuit 16 reads the test image medium by using a basic clock. The length of the image data to be read is measured at the measuring section 17, the data is transmitted to a control section 12, compared with a standard value and a prescribed value is set to the circuit 16 with the difference of comparison. The variance of mechanical accuracy of a carrying mechanism section 6 is corrected by performing registration, collation and reading of normal operation after setting in this way. |
