PURPOSE:To realize quickly and accurately the musical note, by obtaining a density distribution in the abscissa and ordinate direction in a window and comparing the density distribution with a dictionary data registered in advance. CONSTITUTION:When musical notes and bars are recognized, a rectangular readout window W is set to a region including the head H and the stem F of the musical note, the density distribution in the abscissa direction in the window W is obtained and the density distribution in the ordinate direction is obtained. The density distribution curves in the abscissa and ordinate direction of various musical notes (eighth note, quarter note, and dotted quarter note etc.) are registered in a dictionary, the data of the dictionary and each density data of the musical notes to be obtained are compared to decide to which musical note the density data is similar. |
