<p>Oxidn. of higher aromatic hydrocarbons (A) to aryl esters (I) by liq. phase reaction with oxygen in presence of organic solvent and carboxylic acid (II) at 100-300 deg.C, using as catalyst a mixt. of (1) Pd carboxylate; (2) Sb carboxylate and opt. (3) a Mn or Cr carboxylate. Esp. all catalyst components are acetates. (A) are anthracene, phenanthrene, terphenyls or most pref., naphthalene or biphenyls.</p> |
