PURPOSE:To bleach and fix rapidly a color photograph without exerting unfavorable influence on the photographic characteristics by adding a specified compound to a bleach-fix bath contg. a ferric complex salt or its preceding bath. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by formula I (where n is 1, 2 or 3; each of R1 and R2 is H, 1 or 2C akyl or 1-3C acyl; both of them are not H; and they may bond to each other to form a ring), e.g. a compound represented by formula II is used. When an exposed color photographic silver halide material is color-developed and desilvered, about 2X10<-6>-2X10<-1>mol/l said compound is added to a bleach-fix bath contg. a ferric complex salt or its preceding bath behind a color developing bath. Said method shows an especially remarkable effect when applied to a color reversal photosensitive material. |
