PURPOSE:To completely and simply close observatory wells, etc., by packing hydro-concrete into the underground pipe of the observatory well. CONSTITUTION:A container 3 is set to the upper end of an underground pipe 1 through a valve 2, and a hydro-concrete 4 or a mixture of hydro-concrete 4 and waters 5 and 6 is packed into the container 3. The inside of the container 3 is practically isolated from the atmospheric air, the valve 2 is opened, and the hydro-concrete 4 is dropped into the pipe 1 and hardened. The underground pipe 1 can thus be completely closed with the concrete without forming any water channel, and thereby the inflow of groundwater into the pipe 1 can be prevented. |
