PURPOSE:To facilitate the selection of a character, by reversely reflecting a type to a mirror held to a type bar in a freely mobile manner to optically convert the same to a normal character. CONSTITUTION:A mirror 1 is set to a height such that the bottom side thereof is not contacted with the type of a character board 4 and the right side end of said mirror 1 is allowed to come close to a type bar 2 and the mirror 1 is vertically provided to the arm 5 provided to the mobile mechanism of a typewriter main body in a protruded state. When character selecting operation is taken by holding the key lever 3 of the typewriter, the mirror 1 provided in the vicinity of the type bar 2 is cooperated and inverted character types appearing in close vicinity to the front surface of the mirror 1 is optically reversed in the mirror 1 and reflected as normal characters. |
