PURPOSE:To improve the operability for re-retrieval and to shorten the re- retrieval time by controlling the feeding of a photo film so as to retrieve a frame before retrieval. CONSTITUTION:When an error signal comes out of a terminal (c), a storage value (address A of a frame retrieved before start of retrieval) of a recording section 31 is transferred to a comparator circuit 32. The comparator circuit 32 compares the transferred storage value A with the content of a counter 30 and outputs a film feeding signal from a terminal (d). A film feeding control circuit 28 drives a motor by using the feeding signal so as to feed the film in a prescribed direction. When the transfered storage value A and the content of counter sections 30a, 30b and 30c are coincident respectively in the comparator circuit 32, a stop signal is applied from the comparator circuit 32, the signal stops the motor and then the running of the film is stopped. Thus, the original frame retrieved before entry mistake is retrieved automatically.
