PURPOSE:To obtain a color image without color mixing with one time of transfer by dividing striped conductors of a photosensitive body to sets of several pieces each, connecting sequentially the conductors for eadh of the sets, changing over sequentially the potentials of the conductors to match and execute the exposure including the respective color signals and changing over the bias potentials of several pieces of developing devices in synchronization with the change-over of the potentials. CONSTITUTION:The striped conductors 2 which support the photosensitive body 1 are divided to sets of 3 pieces each and are respectively sequentially connected. The potentials thereof are changed over to V3 and the earth by switches 3-5 in accordance with the signals R, G, B. The photosensitive body is then electrostatically charged positive by a corotron from above in the arrow 6 direction. The switch 3 is maintained under zero potential and the switches 4, 5 are maintained under negative potential V3 then the exposure is executed by scanning in the arrow 7 direction by the laser beam of the signal R. The switch 4 is then changed over to the zero potential and 3, 5 to the negative potential V3 and the exposure of the signal G is executed. The exposure of the signal B is similarly executed. The latent images R, G, B are developed by cyan, magenta and yellow toners in synchronization with the potential change-over of the bias potentials of plural pieces of the developing devices. |
