PURPOSE:To make it possible to uniformly heat a griddle plate and to improve the heat efficiency of the titled apparatus by constituting the apparatus so that the griddle plate can be heated by disposing a plurality of infrared ray burners provided with a ceramic plate having a large number of fine burner ports at the lower part of the griddle plate. CONSTITUTION:A griddle plate 1 is supported on the apparatus, and a plurality of infrared ray burners 2 are provided in parallel thereto at the lower part of the griddle plate 1. A ceramic plate 15 is made of pieces each of which is formed into a rectangular parallelepiped having a thickness of approximately 11mm, said pieces being provided longitudinally in a row. The ceramic plate 15 is attached to the upper end surface of the main burner body 6 so that the ceramic plate 5 covers the upper surface opening of the main burner body 6, and a refractory heat insulating material 14 is made contact with the lower surface central part of the ceramic plate 15. The surface of the ceramic plate having a large number of fine burner ports is incandesced to generate infrared rays, and the griddle plate can be heated by radiant heat. Therefore, the heat efficiency of the apparatus is extremely good, and uniform heating can be achieved in a wide range because the ceramic plate is plane.
