PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of efficiency and capability of an engine, by judging the resistance value of an absorbing fluid to give an alarm by an alarm means when the drop in the resistance value after the correction of temperature falls below the resistance value in the allowable moisture content. CONSTITUTION:Electrode plates 23 and 24 connected to connectors 21 and 22 for detection of resistance are molded into a float guide 10 of a water alarm for a brake fluid together with a lead switch 5 and a resistance 6 and they are insulated electrically from each other. Detection holes 25 and 26 are provided at opposed points of the electrode plates 23 and 24 near the ends thereof 23 and 24 and a resistance detector section 20 is defined by the exposed areas of the detection holes 25 and 26 on the electrode plates 23 and 24 and the interval between the electrode plates 23 and 24. In addition, a thermosensitive element such as thermistor 30 is arranged at the bottom of the guide 10. The resistance value of the detector section 20 dipped into a water absorbing fluid is corrected by the output of the thermistor 30 and when the drop in the resistance value after the correction of temperature falls below the resistance value in terms of the allowable water content, it can be alarmed by an alarm means. |
