PURPOSE:To obtain a silane with very high efficiency by performing the disproportion of a halogenated silane in the presence of a solid catalyst having a specific high activity in the disproportion of the halogenated silane using a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The disproportion of the halogenated silane is performed by contacting the halogenated silane with the copolymer of a pyrrole and an another heterocyclic five membered compd. The prescribed pyrrole is exemplified by a pyrrole, an N-alkyl pyrrole, an N-aryl pyrrole, an 3-alkyl pyrrole, an 3-aryl pyrrole and 3,4-dialkyl pyrrole. The another heterocyclic five membered compd. capable of copolymerizing with the pyrrole is exemplified by a thiophene, a furan, a selenophene and a tellurophene, and is each a compd. substituted at 3rd and/or 4th positions. The production of the prescribed copolymer is not specified.
