<p>PURPOSE:To lead in tracking control quickly by providing a means which decides the tendency of a tracking error signal and a means which determines the frequency of a reference signal. CONSTITUTION:The 1st field is divided by, for example, three through a start signal generating circuit 20 in a playback state and the 1st head A, the 4th head D which traces a tape right after the 1st head, and the 3rd head C behind it are switched successively. The tracking error signal from an amplifier 17 is transmitted to a servo system and when a detecting circuit 21 which detects a tracking error signal outputted in one field at the start of reproduction detects an increasing direction, a switching circuit 8 for the reference signal as a lock pilot signal is put in operation according to normal rotation. When a decreasing direction is detected, two-step order is shifted.</p> |
