摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce coupling losses, to reduce the size of the titled equipment and to improve the reliability of the equipment by changing the positional relation of respective fixing members such as light incident port, a light emitting element, a light projecting port, and a photodetecting element which are arranged so that respective optical axes are fixed at prescribed intervals. CONSTITUTION:When the optical axis of a light incident port 12 coincides with that of a light emitting element 19 and the optical axis of a light projecting port 13 coincides with that of a light emitting element 18, an incident light signal to the port 12 is transmitted to an optical receiver 15 through the element 19, converted into an electric signal and then transmitted to the external. On the other hand, an electric signal from the external is converted into an optical signal by an optical transmitter 14 and transmitted from the port 13 through the element 18. When the optical axes of both the ports 12, 13 coincide with each other, the incident light signal to the port 12 is outputted from the port 13 at it is. Consequently, a coupling loss among an external transmission line, the light emitting element and the photodetecting element and that between the light incident port and the light projecting port at the time of by-pass can be extremely reduced and the transmitting distance can be extended. Since one case body is provided with an optical switching function and a photoelectric conversion function, the size of the equipment can be reduced.
