PURPOSE:To prevent the adherence of organism to a water channel by a method in which electrodes are set in the water channel and electric current is supplied to the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 2 is set in a water channel 1 made of a conductive material serving as one electrode and electric current is supplied to the electrodes. A substrate composed of calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, etc., is separated out on the wall face of the water channel to prevent the corrosion of the wall face of the water channel. At the same time, the adherence of organisms to the wall of the water channel is controlled by the easy peelability of the substrate. The needs for operations to scrape away organisms adhered, as in the conventional cases, can thus be eliminated.
