PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material capable of obtaining photographic characteristics of high sensitivity and contrast having >10 gamma value by incorporating a specific hydrazine derivative and at least one of specific compds. to an emulsion layer or another constituting layer (a hydrophilic colloid layer), in using a stable developer. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion layer or the another constituting layer contains the hydrazine derivative shown by formula I, and at least one of the compd. which has the silver halide absorbing group shown by formula II as well as an acidic group, and does not substantially have the max. absorption at the visible range. In formula I, R<11> is <=30C an org. group, X is -NR<15>- or 0, L is a divalent org. binding group, A is a substd. or an unsubstd. phenylene or naphthylene group, B is hydrogen atom, an aliphatic or an aromatic group, R<12> and R<15> are each hydrogen atom or an aliphatic group, R<13> and R<14> are each hydrogen atom or one of which is hydrogen atom, another of which is an alkylsulfonyl, an arylsulfonyl or an acyl group, (i) is 0 or 1. |
