PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition capable of remarkably improving thermal stability and preventing coloration of the resultant molded product, by blending a halogen-containing thermoplastic polymer with a metallic soap and high polymer as a stabilizing assistant in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. halogen-containing thermoplastic polymer (preferably polyvinyl chloride based polymer) with (B) a metallic soap of a group II metal of the periodic table, (C) a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with a low ash.alkaline metal contents, a copolymerization composition of 20-75mol.% ethylene content, >=50mol.% saponification degree of vinyl acetate parts, <=300ppm (optimally <=20ppm) ash content and <=200ppm (most preferably <=5ppm) alkaline metal content so as to provide 0.1-5pts.wt. component (B), 0.1-5pts.wt. component (C) and 0.05-2 weight ratio (C/B) of the components (C) to (B). |
