<p>PURPOSE:To enable the detection of an underground buried substance even in the water, by a method wherein a cover plate formed of an insulative material having no water absorption properties is stuck on the base wall of the truck main body of a moving truck. CONSTITUTION:In a moving truck 1, wheels 3 for movement are supported rotatably by supporting shafts 4 on a closed and hollow truck main body 2, and a cover plate 5 formed of an insulative material having no water absorption properties is stuck on the outer surface of the base wall 2a of the truck main body 2. Inside the main body, a transmitter 6, an antenna 7 for transmission, a receiver 8, an antenna 9 for reception, etc. are mounted. An encoder 10 detects the number of revolutions of the wheel 3, and the position and the depth of an underground buried substance 13 are displayed on the basis of a distance of movement of the moving truck 1 calculated by an arithmetic device 11. For the insulative material having no water absorption properties, a polyethylene form, rubber, a vinyl sheet or the like is used. According to this constitution, no water is filled up between the transmitter 6 and the receiver 8 and the ground even when the truck main body 2 of the moving truck 1 sinks in the water, no extraordinary resonance mode takes place, and thus a normal reflection wave can be received. Therefore, the position and the depth of the underground buried substance can be detected even in the water.</p> |
