PURPOSE: To utilize heat used for generating gas effectively and to perform rectification separation smoothly even at the time of cooling operation by connecting the upper section of a rectification separator with a piping between a throttle and a heat source side heat exchanger and connecting a reservoir with the piping between a heat source side heat exchanger and the throttle. CONSTITUTION: In a separation mode, a heater 21 vaporizes low boiling point refrigerant in a reservoir 22 and the vapor ascends in a rectification separator 16. A liquid refrigerant is fed from the outlet of a condenser, i.e., a heat exchanger 15, and rectification takes place in the separator 16 through gas-liquid contact. Concentration of low boiling point refrigerant increases in the ascending gas while concentration of high boiling point refrigerant increases in the descending gas and high boiling point refrigerant is stored in the reservoir 22 in the state of condensed liquid. The low boiling point refrigerant rich ascending gas is introduced to the suction port of a refrigerant ejector 25 interposed between the compressor 1 and a four-way valve 12 during heating operation at the time of heating operation and fed again to a condenser, i.e. the heat exchanger 15, through the valve 12. Heat provided from the heater 21 can thereby be utilized effectively at the time of condensation and rectification separation is carried out smoothly even at the time of cooling operation. |
