The boiler is controlled by a device which is calibrated by first establishing the percentage change in heat output over a period of 1 second during which the motor which adjusts the gas valve is operating. This characteristic is then used to calibrate a scale to indicate the required position of the control knob for a given heat output. USE - Method of controlling the heat output from a gas fired boiler which is supplied with combustion air by a fan which operates at a controlled speed which corresponds to the heating requirements.
