Hermetically sealable, esp. sterilisation, chamber - contg. rotary part magnetically coupled to external drive

The chamber, esp. for producing an atmos. of given pressure, temp. and/or consistency, has an internal rotary part (2) and an external rotary drive (3), the novelty being that the chamber (1) consists of non-magnetisable material at least in the region of the rotary part (2) and that the rotary part (2) is in contactless operative connection with the drive (3) by means of a permanent magnetic clutch (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - The chamber is esp. a sterilisation chamber useful in the pharmaceutical industry (eg,. for sterilising solns., medicaments and equipment), in research (eg. for sterilising liqs. and culture media), in the food industry (for sterilising foodstuff), in plant culture (e.g, for sterilising soil and seed) and in the paper, textile, plastics, cosmetics and building industries. Rotary motion is imparted to the rotary part without use of expensive shaft seals so that the chamber is almost maintenance-free.
