PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve QoS even when an access point in a wireless LAN does not support standard QoS. SOLUTION: In the case of connection to an access point (AP), a terminal judges whether the access point (AP) corresponds to a QoS system supported by the terminal itself or not (S12) and judges whether QoS is necessary for an application to be executed by the terminal or not. When judging that the access point (AP) does not correspond to the QoS system supported by the terminal itself and the QoS is necessary, the terminal executes setting for forcedly shortening the back-off time of the terminal itself in back-off control (S17). After the end of the application, the setting for shortening the back-off time is released (S19). COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
