PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PWM (pulse width modulation) drive integrated circuit which has less number of terminals and can suppress power consumption during standby. SOLUTION: The PWM drive integrated circuit for driving a load by a PWM signal is provided with an input terminal for receiving the PWM signal; a load drive circuit for driving the load, according to the duty factor of one logic level of the PWM signal from the input terminal; a current generating circuit for generating first current for driving the load drive circuit; and a control circuit for stopping the supply of the first current from the current generating circuit to the load drive circuit, when the PWM signal of the one logic level is not input from the input terminal for a prescribed time, and for supplying the first current, from the current generation circuit to the load driving circuit, when the PWM signal of the one logic level is input from the input terminal.
