PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding resin composition having excellent heat resistance and light resistance, having high whiteness, and holding the whiteness for a long time. SOLUTION: A diallyl phthalate resin composition comprises a diallyl phthalate prepolymer, a polymerization initiator, titanium oxide, and a light stabilizer, in which an amount of titanium dioxide is adjusted in 80-97 wt.% and the content of titanium oxide as titanium dioxide is 5-120 pts.wt. based on the total weight of the composition, and a cured product of the diallyl phthalate resin composition has≥93 of the whiteness represented by equation (1): whiteness=100-[(100-L)<SP>2</SP>+a<SP>2</SP>+b<SP>2</SP>]<SP>1/2</SP>, wherein L indicates brightness, a and b indicate chromaticity (a is red direction, -a is green direction, b is yellow direction, and -b is blue direction). A package for accommodating a light emitting diode, which has excellent heat resistance and light resistance and holding high whiteness for a long period of time can be formed by curing this diallyl phthalate resin composition.
