<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify an operator of the result of the backup processing of a storage means in a state that a power is not supplied from a main power source. <P>SOLUTION: A backup control means 111 controls the backup processing of data in a storage means 104. An auxiliary power source 103 to be charged by a main power source 101 supplies a power to the storage means 104 in order to execute backup processing by a backup control means 111 in a state that a power from the main power source 101 is not supplied to the storage means 104. A measurement means 210 measures a power supply time when a rated voltage or more is supplied to a storage means 104 in order to execute the backup processing by the auxiliary power source 103. A determination means 209 determines whether or not the power supply time measured by the measurement means 210 is shorter than a reference backup time.
