FILTER FOR DISPLAY DEVICE, DISPLAY DEVICE WITH FILTER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF FILTER FOR DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for a display device which has two functions of an optical function of improving contrast of a video and an electromagnetic wave shielding function, can be manufactured at a low cost and has high transmittance, and to provide a manufacturing method of the filter for the display device. SOLUTION: The filter 10 for the display device is disposed on the front surface of a PDP 30. The filter 10 for the display device includes: a first transparent base material 11a; a second transparent base material 11b attached to the first transparent base material 11a via an adhesive material 11c; a near infrared ray/neon-cut layer 25 formed by coating on the first transparent base material 11a; an electromagnetic wave shielding layer 12 disposed on the near infrared ray/neon-cut layer 25; and an optical function layer 20 disposed on the second transparent base material 11b. The electromagnetic wave shielding layer 12 shields an electromagnetic wave from the PDP 30, and the optical function layer 20 absorbs external light and improves the contrast of a video from the PDP.
