MUSICAL PIECE DATA PROCESSING DEVICE, KARAOKE DEVICE, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke device which displays a guide melody and lyrics while making them to correspond to each other without making lyrics data and guide melody data correspond to each other when musical piece data are generated.

SOLUTION: When a performance indication for a musical piece is input to the karaoke device, a CPU 11 specifies a corresponding musical sound among respective musical sound included in the guide melody for each character of the lyrics included in the lyrics data. The CPU 11 reads a cluster of lyrics out of the lyrics data and also reads a guide melody part corresponding to the lyrics out of the guide melody during a performance to display the read lyrics and guide melody on a monitor.
