PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a temperature detecting performance of a temperature sensor for a ceramic inner pot. SOLUTION: This electric rice cooker includes: a nonmetal inner pot heated by electromagnetic induction via an induction heating body provided at the bottom part; an inner case for storing the inner pot to be taken out freely; an outer case for storing and fixing the inner case; electromagnetic induction heating means provided at the bottom part of the inner case and heating the inner pot by the electromagnetic induction via the induction heating body; and a temperature sensor abutting on the bottom part of the inner pot and detecting the temperature of the inner pot; wherein the bottom part of the inner pot on which the temperature sensor abuts is provided with a temperature detecting surface having no induction heating body in a range wider than the external diameter of the temperature sensing part of the temperature sensor by a prescribed dimension.
