<p>PURPOSE:To enable the trimming process to be performed easily in a laser trimming device in simple mechanism while cutting down the trimming time and simultaneously assuring the required trimming precision. CONSTITUTION:In order to manufacture a circuit substrate 1 for trimming filmy resistors 2, 3 formed extending over opposite electrodes 4, 4 and 7' 7 formed on the circuit substrate 1, the electrodes 4, 4 of one element 8 out of multiple resistor elements 8, 9 formed on the circuit substrate 1 are opposed in the orthogonal direction to the trimming direction while the other electrodes 7, 7 of the other element 9 are opposed making an oblique angle with the trimming direction and then the filmy resistors 2, 3 of the said elements 8, 9 are trimmed in the same direction. Through these procedures, the resistance values fluctuate steeply corresponding to the increase in the trimming length in the former thick film resistor element 8 while the resistance values fluctuate gently corresponding to the increase in the trimming length in the later thick film resistor element 9 so as to facilitate the trimming process with high precision.</p> |
