PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect side wind in an area where one's own vehicle will visit in future, and to previously give a warning of side wind to the driver. SOLUTION: The side wind warning device is provided with: a sound-collection means for collecting the sound of the outdoor side of the vehicle; a vehicle periphery area side wind presumption means for presuming the side wind at the vehicle peripheral area from the sound collected by the sound-collection part; a cabin outside photographing means for photographing the outside of the cabin at the vehicle periphery; an advancement course front side area wind-swinging object detection means for detecting the wind-swinging object at the advancement course front side area from an image obtained by the cabin outside photographing means; and advancement course front side area side wind presumption means for presuming the side wind generated in the advancement course front side area from the wind-swinging state of the wind-swinging object detected by the advancement course front side area wind-swinging object detection means; and a side wind warning determination means for calculating any differential degree of wind force or wind speed of the side wind presumed by the vehicle peripheral area side wind presumption means and the advancement course front side area side wind presumption means and determining that the side wind is warned when the side wind is stronger in the advancement course front side area by a constant degree or more as compared with the present place of the vehicle.
