PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operation rate of variable display and to reduce processing burdens of a game control means in a game machine provided with a first variable display means and a second variable display means. SOLUTION: The game control means confirms whether or not the value of a total holding storage number counter is equal to or larger than a prescribed value when determining the display result of the variable display of special patterns as a losing, and determines to execute a ready-to-win performance by a low probability as the total holding storage number increases when a game state is a low base state or a high probability high base state. When starting variation, a background specifying command, a pattern variation specifying command, a variation pattern command, a performance pattern specifying command and a total holding storage number specifying command are transmitted.
