PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a failure notifying server which notifies failure occurrence from a plurality of failure notifying servers regardless of fixed priority when a failure occurs in a monitoring object server. SOLUTION: In this failure notifying technique, at least one monitoring object server 13-15 and the plurality of failure notifying servers 10-12 to monitor the monitoring object servers 13-15 are provided. Furthermore, an evaluation value determination server is provided which determines a predetermined evaluation value as an index for selecting the failure notifying server to notify the failure occurrence when the failure is generated in the certain monitoring object server and which determines the failure notifying server with the highest level of evaluation as the failure notifying server to notify the failure occurrence.
