PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially producing a mixed crystal of sarpogrelate hydrochloride, i.e. for producing the mixed crystal of type II crystal and type I crystal of the sarpogrelate hydrochloride in an industrial scale by a recrystallization means. SOLUTION: The method for producing the mixed crystal of the type II crystal and the type I crystal of the sarpogrelate hydrochloride includes adding dropwise a hydrated ketone solution of a crude crystal of the sarpogrelate hydrochloride to a previously cooled ketone solvent, and obtaining the precipitated crystal by filtering. The mixed ratio of the obtained type II crystal to the type I crystal is from 7:3 to 9:1 in the mixed crystal of the type II crystal and the type I crystal of the sarpogrelate hydrochloride.
