<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant which has an improved convenience with respect to TV picture recording. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 capable of being switched to a vertically long state shown in Figure 5(a) and a horizontally long state shown in Figure 5(b) by rotating a display enclosure 2 to an operation enclosure 5 is provided with a picture recording operation key 43 which faces a holding part 3b to enter into an inoperable state in the case of the vertically long state and doesn't face the holding part 3b to enter into an operable state in the case of the horizontally long state. When the mobile phone 1 is in a closed state shown in Fig. 5(b)and in the horizontally long state, a user is allowed to perform operations relating to TV picture recording by operating the picture recording operation key 43 set to the operable state.
