<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote use of an image forming apparatus and to compute an advertising rate corresponding to the use. <P>SOLUTION: This charging system comprises an MFP (multi-function peripheral), a charging server and a store terminal. The charging server having an HDD for storing advertisement information including advertisement identification information and advertisement contents, responds to a transmission request of the advertisement information (Yes in S51), transmits the advertisement information (S52), collects the number of prints for every charging ID (Yes in S53), stores it (S55), and when receiving advertisement identification information from the store terminal (S56), counts used points corresponding to the advertisement identification information (S60), counts discount points corresponding to the charging ID received from the store terminal together with the advertisement identification information (S58), computes the advertising rate for every advertising main object of advertisement information based on the value of used points, and computes a printing charge for every charging ID.
