PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block switch that has a high degree of design freedom, can reduce time and labor required for designing, and can reduce costs. SOLUTION: A side connecting projection 32a projecting sideways, a side connecting recess 33a that can be fitted to the projection 32a, an upper connecting projection 31a projecting upward, and a lower connecting recess 34a that can be fitted to the projection 31a are formed in a base 30 for supporting a switch knob 40 so that the switch knob 40 can travel in the press direction of an operation surface 14a. A switch board 50 where electrical components including a switch body 63 are mounted is fixed to the base 30. Connection sections that are connected to the circuit of the switch board 50 for connection to the outside of the switch board are provided at the projections 32a, 31a and the recesses 33a, 34a.
