A turret tool rest 6 is provided with a tool rest body 10, which is rotatable around the vertical axis, on a lower saddle 7. A turret 13 is provided on a side surface 11 of the tool rest body 10, and an anti-vibration mechanism 15 is provided on a side surface 12 that is adjacent to the side surface 11 at a right angle. Indexing can be performed by selecting from the turret 13 and the anti-vibration mechanism 15 by rotation of the tool rest body 10.
