<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precise gas sensor that is less apt to be oxidized by the gas to be measured. <P>SOLUTION: This gas sensor 10 has an oxygen concentration detecting element 100 for detecting the oxygen concentration in the high-temperature gas to be measured; a housing 130 penetrated with the oxygen concentration detecting element 100 through its inside, and for support-fixing the oxygen concentration detecting element 100 in a measured gas flow passage 433; and bottomed cylindrical metal cover bodies 140, 150 for surrounding a portion, exposed with the gas, to be measured of the oxygen concentration detecting element 100, and is provided with oxide coating films 141, 151 formed by high temperature heating in the presence of oxygen on a surface of the portion exposed with the gas to be measured of the gas sensor 10 that includes at least the cover bodies 140, 150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
