PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tRNA for modifying the N-terminal of a protein on the synthesis of the protein, and to provide a method for modifying the N-terminal of the protein on the synthesis of the protein. SOLUTION: An initiator tRNA is added with a carboxylic acid not having an amino group, an amide bond and a hydroxy group at the α-position. A tRNA is added with an α-hydroxy acid having a hydroxy group at the α-position and modified with at least one labeling substance. A method for producing a protein to whose N-terminal the carboxylic acid or the α-hydroxy acid is introduced with these tRNAs is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
