PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication card which is simple, low-cost and is appropriate for utilization in various portable electronic devices. SOLUTION: In an SD BT card 100, an SD IO controller 11 comprises a UART 112, and communication between the SD IO controller 11 and a Bluetooth (R) controller 12 is performed by the UART 112. A control register 112a of the UART 112 is configured to be directly accessed by a host device 200. Accordingly, it is not necessary to mount, in the SD IO controller 11, an intelligent function for interpreting and executing a command form the host device 200, such that an interface unit can be simplified and costs can be reduced.
