The invention relates to a pressure cooking device (1) with a fitting lid, comprising at least: a pan (2) and a lid (3) designed to fit inside the pan (2) with a simple movement between a closed position and an open position, a control means (5) for moving the lid (3) between the closed and open positions thereof, said device (1) being characterised in comprising a lock (15) which may be engaged or disengaged and designed to prevent the control means (5) from achieving the second position from the first position thereof, said lock (15) being operable independent of the pressure within the chamber.
