<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow only a reproduction signal required for reproduction to pass through a light shielding means. <P>SOLUTION: The positions of reference marks M1 to M4 included in image data picked up by a photosensor 26 are specified, and, from their positions, the boundary position between reproduction signal light RS and reproduction reference light RR is specified. After the specification of the boundary position, based on the boundary position, a target image pickup diameter Dt is calculated.
